April and Cappie // Hope

A Friday afternoon in July with April and Cappie ✨  As a season in April’s life closes, it also means she has to say goodbye to her Cappie. After four years together, April asked if I’d photograph some moments of them together - and of course I said heck yes. Seasons in life change, and I think the end of something like this is always worth being photographed. With apples and allergy cream for me (yes I’m allergic to horses) in the bag, we literally trotted down the road, found a perfect spot and photographed away.

This was such a different shoot for me, it unlocked this other side of my creativity and I absolutely LOVED it. These photos were a hundred percent worth risking the allergies.
