You have questions. I have answers.

+ What do I wear on a photoshoot?

I encourage you to wear something you feel comfortable in, something that is practical and you can move freely in, that goes for shoes too. Try to stay away from strong patterns and bright colours (reds, pinks, oranges and yellows) and lot’s of black. Just keep it classy, simple, and to your own style as much as possible.

+ Where are you based? Can you travel for shoots?

I am based in the beautiful Nelson, New Zealand and yes I sure can. Get in touch to know more information about travel costs.

+ What happens if the weather turns?

If it’s raining and pouring (as I still shoot if we have a tiny spit of rain) we will postpone our session to our next available date and time. I encourage you to embrace the weather whatever it’s doing as it’s beautiful and unique in photos.

+ How many images do we get?

Each session is different so that can depend on how much photos you get but it’s always a minimum of 80 high resolution photos. I promise there will be plenty.

+ Do you have a cancellation fee for photoshoots?

Yes I do, but it only applies during my busy season, which is November to March.

Your session is important to me and your date and time you book is reserved just for you. I do understand that life happens. Therefore if you need to cancel your shoot I require 48hrs minimum to avoid a cancellation fee.

Less than 48hrs notice and a cancellation fee of 50% of your booking fee will be charged to you.

+ What is the booking and payment process?

My booking process is super easy. After original enquiry and you’ve decided on me, it’s a couple of back and forth emails arranging the details, then we’re set to go. Invoice is sent on confirmation of shoot and needs to be paid no later than a week before your session.

Booking weddings is slightly different. Pop me an email if you would like more information.

+ What is your wedding cancellation/postponement policy?

If you are cancelling your booking, your booking fee is non-refundable. If you need to postpone, let me know as soon as possible. If your new date doesn’t fit into my schedule the above will apply.

+ When is the best time to book my maternity/bump session?

The best time for your maternity session is anywhere between 30-36 weeks, as long as you’re comfortable to be active during our session.

+ Do you photograph elopements or intimate weddings?

Yes! I do and I love them. There is something about celebrating love surrounded by the ones who mean the most to you, even if it’s only a small number. Hit me up for some more information.

+ Do you have a second photographer?

At the moment, I shoot weddings on my own - I prefer it that way, don’t worry you’re in good hands. If your wedding is quite large (like really large) and I think I’ll need an extra hand, I’ll get in a second photographer - no worries.

+ What happens if you can’t make it to our wedding?

If I can’t make it to your wedding and it’s out of my control (let’s pray this never happens), I will do my best to find a replacement photographer to take my place, one I trust and know will do a good job on one of your most important days. If I can’t do anything and we’ve tried all options, your money will be refunded. Maybe grab a cool or hip Auntie to take your key shots!

+ Is my home suitable for a photo shoot?

Yes absolutely! Just make sure the main areas are tidy. Documenting memories in your own home is the sweetest and most rewarding thing. We get to capture life’s moments under the roof that you’ve lived all your life, or next to the walls you painted or on the couch that used to belong to your great grandmother. Isn’t that just wonderful?

Don’t see your question answered? No worries, send me an email and I’ll get help you out.
